Sony has revealed the most-downloaded PS5 games of October 2024, and while some of the entries aren’t surprising, it is encouraging to see several new releases top the charts. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was the most-downloaded game of the month–no surprises here–and second place went to Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. How many times was it downloaded? We’d wager over 9,000 times, at the very least.
In third place was Undisputed, the spiritual successor to EA’s Fight Night series, and it was followed by Bloober Team’s superb remake of Silent Hill 2. Dragon Age: The Veilguard debuted in ninth-place, and Metaphor ReFantazio arrived in 11th place. Other highlights this month included Sonic X Shadow Generations, Phasmophobia, NHL 25, and New World: Aeternum landing in the top 20. It’s worth noting that some of the new releases arrived very late in the month, so it’ll be interesting to see where they land in November, given that it’s a relatively quiet month for high-profile games.
As for familiar favorites, EA’s line of sports games all jockeyed for position, but they were still standing strong in the charts. Madden NFL 25, EA Sports FC 25, and EA Sports College Football 25 all featured last month, while Take-Two’s NBA 2K25 was ready to play some ball. The full rankings for October’s most-downloaded PS5 games can be found below, along with Sony’s rankings for the most-downloaded PS4, PSVR, PSVR 2, and free-to-play games in the US and Canada.
